Blue runs offer slightly more challenge than green runs. But, sometimes you find yourself on a blue run that accidentally leads you to a black run and you have to get down to the bottom of the mountain on your bum. Yes this has happened to me. The following are a list of courses that I have identified as blue (sometimes leaning black) runs.
ETEC 510 - Design of Technology Supported Learning Environments
Throughout this course, we learned a lot about the design of learning environments, and how technology can be used to support student success. Although so much of the course material did not directly relate to the type of technological learning I am involved with, I was able to find classmates with similar goals and we were able to make the learning theories work in our contexts. We worked collaboratively to create a resource for teachers/administrators looking to start a Makerspace in their school, in which I learned a lot about the design thinking process and how this could be used in a classroom. |
ETEC 524 - Learning Technologies: Selection, Design and Application
During this course, we had the opportunity to explore a range of learning technologies and platforms, with the purpose of creating content, presenting, collaborating, communicating and assessing. We explored theoretical frameworks for supporting and evaluating learning in technology-enriched contexts. For the final assignment, I created a proposal for my school that suggested we move towards a school wide, single platform for storing student work and portfolios. |
